Climbing Wall Instructor (Certificate)

This course is held in the Toronto area. Successful participants will receive and Advanced Rescue Techniques School of Canada Climbing Wall Instructor Certificate. Prerequisites: previous experience in multiple belay techniques, climbing 5.6 or up, Standard First Aid Certificate.
 

Rock Climbing Instructor (Certificate)

If you feel you are ready to teach climbing then come out and get your instructor papers from Ontario’s first rock climbing school. Pass or fail course - testing only, no instruction. Prerequisite: Standard First Aid Certificate
 

Rig, Rescue, Rappel, Haul Systems, & Aid Climbing
Course Format: Else
This is an introduction to high angle rescue and evacuation for climbers. Topics include technical hauling and lowering systems, various rappel and aid techniques, ascending, equipment selection, care, and the systems approach to anchors. Great for preparing yourself for big walls and expeditions! Prerequisite: Participants must have previous climbing experience.
 

Rock Climbing Adventures

Coming Out of the Gym Rock Climbing

This is the course for the indoor climber who is ready to venture outdoors onto "real rock." As a climber, you know how to tie in, belay with a grigri, and are comfortable with your climbing ability at the 5.6 and above level. You are ready to learn how to set up top rope anchors, rappel, and belay with various devices.
 

Introductory Rock Climbing Weekend

For the complete beginner who wants to give Rock Climbing a try. Every weekend from April to end of November. If you are curious about this wonderful sport, this is the perfect "try it and see if you like it" weekend. Two full days of guiding and instruction!
