Longer Combination Vehicles (Certificate)
Course Format: On-site
This course is required by the experienced driver to drive extended length tractor trailer units. A classroom session is followed by a practical drive and inspection process. Discussion includes the handling characteristics of the longer unit. 2 years experience driving tractor trailer is a prerequisite for this course
 

Cargo Securement, Mass and Size (Certificate)

Provides the theory and regulation behind securing cargo to the bed of an open flat deck trailer and the regulations for loads in the province of Alberta. The course covers pipe handling, oil-field equipment loading, unloading and securement. The proper use of cargo winches, straps, chains, boomers and bars, with practical demonstrations.
 

Log Book (Certificate)

This course covers the Regulation governing driving time, the use of Log Books and how to complete them. The course deals with border crossing and some of the paperwork associated with trucking.
 

Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (Certificate)
Course Format: On-site
The study of the information system to identify hazardous materials that are produced, handled, stored, used or disposed of in the workplace and labels which must be used to identify the risks and recommend precautions. Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) that must be provided.
 

Transportation of Dangerous Goods (Certificate)
Course Format: On-site
This course is for protection of the public when dangerous goods are being transported. The driver should understand the regulations. The subject matter reviews the classification and documentation, which must be included on shipping documents. Instruction includes methods of reporting spills, leaks or accidents.
 

General Oilfield Driver Improvement (Certificate)
Course Format: On-site
This course is to provide a petroleum industry training standard for oilfield drivers. Enform sanctions this course developed in conjunction with six oilfield agencies and two provincial transportation departments. Recognized for demerit credit on the driver’s abstract.
 

Professional Driver Improvement (Certificate)
Course Format: On-site
Designed for being a professional through introducing the topics of Attitude, Public Relations and all areas of the truck driving profession. Formerly called Defensive Driving, this course will remove 3 demerits from your driving record, this is valid for two years if you were to acquire demerits in the future.
 

Air Brake Endorsement (Certificate)
Course Format: On-site
A provincial mandatory course for operating any vehicles equipped with air brakes, regardless of class of license a driver possesses. It teaches the student how to adjust and inspect the air brake system and understand the operation of air brakes.
