Ocean Kayaking in Nootka Sound

One day of preparation. Chart work, navigation, ocean paddling and surf techniques, dangers of exposed areas, weather, use of radios and rescue techniques. An emphasis also on fishing, foraging and West Coast Native Culture.
 

Surf Kayak Introduction

An introduction to kayaking in the surf will provide an excellent arena for developing Eskimo rolling and bracing skills.
 

Nimpkish River Trip

A combination canoe/kayak trip; travelling with gear and camping along the river. Focus is on planning and organization.
 

Whitewater Kayak I
