Laboratory Tests and Image Diagnostics Course Format: Classroom The focus of this course will be on the interpretation of the common laboratory tests that are ordered by physicians and naturopaths. Students will be able to analyze data from these tests and deduce the possible condition of the individual. Laboratory tests can serve as an excellent tool to monitor the efficacy of therapy given to a patient.
Biochemistry Course Format: Classroom This course introduces the student to the basic principles of biochemistry including protein chemistry, carbohydrate chemistry, nucleic acid chemistry and lipid chemistry. Through the discussion of the case histories, diagnosis, treating principle and formula modifications, students will understand how to utilize the knowledge they have gained over the past four years. Difficult cases from herbal clinic and alternate approaches to such cases are also discussed in this class.
