Tap Course Format: Classroom Tap Fundamentals serves as the basic training ground for young students who are new to dance and tap. After gaining mastery over basic steps, students move on to the Intermediate class, to start putting the moves to choreography. The Advanced class is for students with clarity of footwork and high stamina who are prepared for intensive steps and choreography.
Jazz Course Format: Classroom Jazz Fundamentals is the first step for new young jazz dancers. After learning the basics of the form, students move on to the Intermediate class for more involved choreography and broadening of the technique. The Broadway Jazz class is for students with high stamina who want to be challenged with intensive chorography.
Modern Course Format: Classroom Teens are exposed to a greater variety of music, rhythms and tempos. Classes are based on modern dance and teach kids to move safely. A specific dance technique is not taught until later sessions. Classes encourage self-expression and creativity in a structured, non-threatening atmosphere.
Teen Beginner Ballet Course Format: Classroom For teenagers who desire to be well grounded in classical technique. A primer for serious performers with little or no ballet background, this class is designed to incorporate good body form and the ability to learn ballet choreography. An excellent class for the aspiring professional performer who wants to become a triple threat.
Pointe Course Format: Classroom Selected Advanced Company Ballet members are invited by instructor Cheryl Bass to take an additional Pointe Technique class.
