Students learn key skills to evaluate, select, implement and maintain healthcare applications. Risk management is emphasized. Students evaluate a variety of human-computer interaction issues from the perspective of the patient, provider and executive. Students will design an implementation plan with special emphasis on train-the-trainer programs and customer services.

Covers the fundamentals of patient records, coding and classification issues, workflow analysis techniques, and an overview of decision support methods. Students learn the fundamentals to perform needs analysis and record requirements.
